Not only iPad, Apple also made iPhone 5 GSM models in two versions of LTE frequency support. First, the iPhone 5 (GSM) Model A1429 that supports LTE networks in the frequency of 2,100MHz, 1800Hmz, and 850MHz. However, it does not support LTE at 700MHz frequency. Second, the iPhone 5 (GSM) Model A1428 supports LTE networks at 700MHz frequency. Apparently, Apple will send this iPhone 5 model to the United States and Canada only. However, as many cellular operators provide LTE networks, it is possible that manufacturers of smartphones and tablets will equip universal radio chips for their products to support LTE networks across frequencies.
